An Emotional Day For Our Co-Founder

So, the day has finally come, Google AdWords, DoubleClick and Google Analytics 360 are no more! Google AdWords has been re-branded as Google Ads, DoubleClick and Google Analytics 360 are now under the umbrella brand Google Marketing Platform.

So why is this a sad day for our founder you may ask? Well, he started working with Google AdWords  back in 2008 for GoupM in Madrid. The joys of AdWords, and especially AdWords Editor, compared to bulk upload sheets for Yahoo are still some of his happiest memories (he doesn't get out much). Though in those days, and long nights, working on AdWords campaigns he also met his wife, who never did get her head around Yahoo!

Then Google Analytics and DoubleClick for Publishers became the new loves of his life when he moved to the Online Partnerships Group team at Google's European Headquarters in Dublin (don't worry his wife came to Dublin as well, they were additional loves of his life, not replacements) and now Google has ruthlessly re-branded both of them.

After a brief illicit affair with the worlds of Marin Software and Oxfam GB, he returned to work in the DoubleClick team at Google London managing key DoubleClick Bid Manager, DoubleClick Campaign Manager and DoubleClick Studio clients - a time when he and his first love (Wife, not AdWords, please keep up) had their first baby. Now Google, in a quadruple whammy, has rebranded DoubleClick!
